CLIMAFRÍO began its business activity in 1988, constituted as a civil society and with the purpose of meeting the technical assistance needs in the industrial and naval refrigeration sector , being the 1st company in the sector to be established with headquarters in Ribeira and operating in the local area, enhancing our presence in the port of Ribeira giving service to the fishing fleet, but also present in commercial and industrial cold: canning factories, refrigerators freezers, supermarkets, fishing sector, dairy sector, meat sector, etc.
Thanks to the support received by the shipowners and customers who endorse and recommend us, the company's activity is constantly growing. This allows us to apply our services to more and more areas and areas of presence of our clients.
History of Climafrío
At the beginning of the 90s and coinciding with the modernization of the fishing fleet,
for
we started doing our own assemblies of refrigeration facilities both on land and on board ships.In the late 90s, early 2000s, we also participated in the reconversion of the fishing fleet, renovating practically all the vessels in the port of Ribeira but also in other ports, such as A Guarda, Burela, Vigo ... and even Portugal.
Once consolidated in the fishing and naval sector, in the middle of the decade 2000-2010 we took a qualitative leap promoting projects for shipyards in new constructions of ships of all kinds: fishing, tugboats, freighters, oceanographic, off-shore, ferries, etc.
At present, due to the use of new technologies applied to energy efficiency, the continuous renewal and innovation of cold systems and the use of environmentally friendly refrigerants, allow both our customers and us reduce the CO2 footprint of our facilities.
For all this, CLIMAFRÍO is consolidated as a national benchmark company in the industrial cold and air conditioning sector.
Participations and fairs
Thanks to our presence at the World Fishing Vigo fair in 1997 and 2003, we achieved a great push towards new markets both nationally and internationally, starting to do work especially in Portugal. Likewise, we started to work in new shipyards, both in repair and in installations on new ships.
Throughout this process in the fishing and naval sector, our company, driven by its own fleet, manages to participate in international fishing fairs such as in Agadir (Morocco) in 2003 and 2005, achieving carry out operations for that country in terms of assembling refrigeration facilities, ice factories ...

- Custom manufacturing and assembly of all types of conduits, both circular and rectangular and in various materials.

MAINTENANCE AND BREAKDOWN SERVICE
- We also optionally offer a fault repair, renovation or modification service in our own facilities and with the ability of our technicians to act anywhere in the world.
- We are committed to the implementation of our control system , maintenance and monitoring in the facilities, refrigeration systems and air conditioning of our clients, managing to reduce or practically eliminate breakdowns caused by lack of foresight, maintenance or wear in the system.
